We visited Bhutan for the first time in December 2023. It goes without saying that the scenery, culture, and people we met were all wonderful. Sky Travel’s owner, Tshering Jamtsho, was our guide and did a great job conveying Bhutanese history and culture, especially the deep Buddhist traditions that are so important to both Bhutanese history and daily life.

We especially appreciated that Tshering went above and beyond to accommodate our need for gluten free good because two members of our family have Celiac disease and need strictly gluten free dishes. Tshering understood the dietary issues and called ahead to every hotel and restaurant to make sure that our meals were completely and safely gluten free. Knowing that we didn’t have to worry about getting sick from gluten have us incredible peace of mind that allowed us to focus on what mattered most — the beautiful scenery and culture of Bhutan.
